Human Performance and Rehabilitation Centers,
Inc. (HPRC), is a privately owned rehabilitation company and is
the successor to a small one-man physical therapy practice established
in 1955 by George M. McCluskey Jr., PT, L.A.T.. He founded this
company with one idea in mind: to rebuild and enhance the body’s
functional capability – to improve life, one patient at
a time. It was not the norm of the day to set up a private practice
as he did. Nevertheless, he was convinced that ongoing, interactive
communication between patient, physician and therapist was the
better way; and that in the end, the patient would come out a
winner. That same philosophy still pervades his practice today;
however, in today’s healthcare world, payors, case managers,
and patients' family members must also be included to complete
the circle of communication. Throughout the years, HPRC’s
reputation as a premier rehabilitation provider has been recognized
and has helped HPRC to evolve into one of the largest and most
well-respected rehabilitation companies in the Southeast.
