1. Do I have to have a physician’s referral
to receive your services?
State Law in Georgia and Alabama dictate that you must have
a physician’s referral to access therapy services. South
Carolina Law allows for direct access to therapy services without
a physician’s referral for 30 days, but your insurance
companies will not pay for therapy without a referral. So, in
Georgia and Alabama, yes, you must have a physician’s
referral, and in South Carolina you should contact your insurance
company to determine if they will pay for therapy if you do
not have a referral. However, you do not have to have a referral
to speak with one of our therapists or practitioners in any
location about your diagnosis or problem.
2. Can I choose to be treated at one of your
facilities if my physician refers me somewhere else?
Yes. It is your choice as to where and who you are treated
by. You may request to be treated by us if your physician refers
you to another provider.
3. What kind of insurance do you accept?
We accept most insurance plans. Call the facility closest
to you for further information.
4. Will I have to make an appointment to be
treated?
We prefer to see patients by appointment. However, we do make
an effort to have you treated as soon as possible if you walk
in.
5. Will I have to fill out a lot of paperwork
at my initial visit?
On your initial visit, we will need to obtain information
about you. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment
time to complete your paperwork. For your convenience, you can
download paperwork and complete it before
your visit.
6. Will I have to pay for my visit at the time
of service?
You will be required to pay any co-pays at the time of service.
We will also make you aware of the coverage from your insurance
company.
7. Will you file my claim for me or do I have
to file it myself?
HPRC will file your insurance claim for you.
8. How do I know that I will be treated by a
qualified professional?
HPRC has been in business since 1955. We pride ourselves on
hiring very qualified and caring professionals, and place high
priority on their continued growth. You can be assured that
you will be treated by a qualified licensed professional. If
you have questions regarding this, please ask us.
